Insert the USB flash drive into the Photoviewer/service slot located on the back of the TV. 3. Plug in the TV power cord. Turn on the TV and the update process should start automatically. So it seems like they want you to "boot" the TV from the USB just like you would a computer. Unplugging the TV before you do so, allows any ROM to clear; just like a computer. Then the instructions show that you will see a series of 3 screens that basically say what step the upgrade process is on . The process is supposed to take less than 5 minutes. 4. Remove the USB device when "Completed" is displayed (power button will not work). 5. To restart the TV, unplug the TV power cord and then plug it in again. 6. Press the Power button on the TV or remote control to turn the TV on. Then there is another piece of paper that says Troubleshooting. It says: If the Update process does not start as shown on the previous page - Remove USB Device - Unplug the power cord, wait 5 secs and plug it in again - insert USB flash device, wait 5 secs. Don't turn on TV - unplug the power cord and plug it in again - Tuen on TV, update should start. If not, unplug the USB device then wait until the TV picture appears and follow the steps below. It is possible that the "quick Start-up" feature is tuned on. Press the menu button navigate to "initial setup" press enter navigate to "quick start up" select Off press menu button when finished Turn off TV and repeat the six steps from the very begining. If update process still does not start please call the customer care center. If you TV shows Progress 1/3 for more than 10 minutes of if you see any message saying "software update error" please call the customer care center for further info. |
