| Press the Thumbs up to Like this Video Please. Bought this LG 50LN5100 50" LED HDTV at Walmart on the Pre-Black Friday AD ! So far it's a great TV! Right out of the box easy setup a few screws and a power plug this HDTV looked sharp as Heck. The tv itself is 49.5" . Apparently the HDTV according to the specs from Walmart and BestBuy is 1080p 120HZ but from the packaging and the Owners Manual there is no sign of the true motion that is mentioned on the ads. I called LG support and spoke to a Call center who basically read dialogue from a script about how it is built in and you must have a device that supports this feature. So far while playing GTA V on PS3 it has been pretty smooth with no lag or ghosting. I watched a BlueRay Disc Avatar and the info said 1080p 24hz and compared to my 32" Samsung 60hz the LG looked so much Smoother. But for $448 and a $45 3 year service plan is not a bad buy at all. Still haven't figured out why the simplink will not work for my ps3 like the any net+ on my samsung but I am very happy with this. Thank you for watching click an add or like me above ... Uploaded and color corrected via YouTube Capture *update* So I figured out that this HDTV is 120hz Capable but enjoy watching my movies at 24hz via the blu-ray setting on my Blu-ray player and PS3. 60hz hdtvs such as my Front room Samsung 60hz HDTV cannot display this correctly. With the Samsung 60hz HDTV on the 24hz movie setting I noticed flickering and ghosting.... But on my LG LN5100 with my Blu-ray player PS3 with 24hz it looked so smooth and zero flickering Sharp as a tack. Overall this was a steal at $448 at Walmart and the 55" at bestbuy for $499 only a few inches bigger is also worth the price. But it depends what you are going to use it for. Gaming ? Blu-ray movie viewing ? Streaming? Video Monitor? I would use the LG LN5100 for all of the above! With a added roku stick , chromecast , Apple TV or Ps4 xbox 1 this HDTV has what it takes to give you the best viewing that it can possibly give you. With the built in HDTV tuner watching local sports games at the broadcasted 60hz makes it smooth and Sharp with the Triple XD engine ® that's what LG calls it but works like a charm. Great HDTV |
